Kamome no Tamago Mini
This is a bite-sized, single-serving version of the popular confection 'Kamome no Tamago' (Seagull's Egg), shaped like a seagull soaring over the Sanriku Sea. It is a small companion to the flagship product that Saito Seika of Ofunato has continued to produce for about 70 years. Moist and fluffy egg yolk paste is wrapped in castella sponge cake and gently coated with white chocolate. While maintaining the same mellow flavor as the regular size, it has been finished in a small and cute form. Despite their factory being affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, this shop has continued to walk alongside its hometown. This heartfelt product is easy to distribute and eat, making it perfect as a souvenir to share during travels.
