Okayama Craft Beer
A unique glass that goes hand-in-hand with the food of Okayama. This is Okayama's craft beer. In the fruit kingdom of Okayama, there is active production of craft beers that utilize local ingredients such as white peaches and muscat grapes. Notably, Kibi Dote-shita Beer in Okayama City was born in 2006 in a warehouse-style building along the Asahi River; with the concept of 'a beer loved by the neighbors,' they brew local sparkling alcoholic beverages with a strong commitment to barley as the primary ingredient. From ale types to seasonal fruit beers and even brews using local chamomile, the individuality of the brewers shines through. Beer unique to the land that pairs perfectly with Okayama's ingredients. The joy of comparing different breweries throughout the prefecture is also expanding.
