Taisho no Tsuru (Maniwa Shuzo → Ochi Shuzojo)
A famous sake rooted in the land of Maniwa, passed down since the Taisho era. This is 'Taisho no Tsuru' from Ochi Shuzojo. Ochi Shuzojo began brewing in 1893 in the Azae area of Kitafusa, Maniwa City, in search of high-quality water. The brewery is committed to using Okayama Prefecture's representative rice, such as 'Asahi,' and the mineral-rich subsoil water from the Bitchu River. Using this pure water, they produce a sake with a powerful and crisp character. The flagship brand 'Taisho no Tsuru' was named by the third generation of the family and has been beloved locally for a long time. With its mellow umami and clean aftertaste, it can be enjoyed both chilled and warm, and has long been a staple at local dining tables. It is a gentle yet resilient local sake nurtured by the nature and craftsmanship of Maniwa.
