Sanko Masamune (Sanko Masamune Co., Ltd.)
Sanko Masamune is a dry local sake brewed in Niimi, at the foot of the Chugoku Mountains. With a unique history, the brewery was established in 1913 after the founder, Juro Miyata, traveled to America, amassed wealth through strawberry cultivation, and returned home to begin sake brewing. Using rice from Okayama Prefecture and groundwater from Sankyo Gorge, it is carefully brewed with master craftsmanship. The crisp, dry finish pairs excellently with Niimi delicacies such as Chiyada beef and wild game. In recent years, the brewery has also achieved multiple gold awards at the National New Sake Awards. It offers a powerful yet refined flavor nurtured by the nature of the Chugoku Mountains. It can be enjoyed delicious both chilled or warm (nukankan). A reliable cup that complements the mountain bounties of Niimi.
