Gozenshu (Tsuji Honten)

With a single sip, a full-bodied richness gently spreads across the palate, followed by a clean and pleasant finish. Within its smooth mouthfeel, the wide-ranging umami characteristic of Omachi rice lives vibrantly. Tsuji Honten, established in 1804 in Katsuyama, Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture, brews this sake. The name originates from 'Gozen-shu,' a sake presented to the Katsuyama Clan as an official tribute. Since 2022, they have brewed using 100% Okayama-grown Omachi rice, becoming the only brewery in Japan to do so entirely with Omachi. It is also known for being led by Okayama Prefecture's first female Toji (master brewer). A cup that combines richness, sharpness, and smoothness. Please experience the profound flavor created by the local legendary sake rice in a traditional cup.
