Taisho no Tsuru (Ochi Brewery)

Brewed with underground water from Maniwa, this local sake brings out the full umami of the rice. This is 'Taisho no Tsuru' from Ochi Brewery. You can experience a rich, mellow rice flavor followed by a clean aftertaste. In 1893 (Meiji 26), the first generation of Ochi Brewery established the brewery in the Azae area of Kitafusa, Maniwa City, in search of high-quality water. The brewery's specialty is producing powerful and crisp sake using locally grown Okayama rice and mineral-rich underground water from the Bitchu River. In addition to their flagship brand 'Taisho no Tsuru,' their cloudy sake 'Yuki Kozo' also enjoys deep popularity locally. Despite being a small-scale operation, it is a brewery that meticulously builds its craft through careful attention to every step of the process. The rich umami of the rice and a clean finish. This is a deeply flavorful bottle where the nature of Maniwa and the skill of the master brewers come to life.
