Gohou
A cup that reflects the climate of Donan, born from a new brewery. 'Gohou' is a sake brewed by Hakodate Brewing in Nanae Town. Hakodate Brewing is the 14th brewery to be established in Hokkaido, marking the first time in 35 years that a brewery has been born in the Donan region. With the theme of 'Donan Terroir,' they aim to infuse the nature of this land directly into their sake, using sake rice such as Ginpu, Kumetsume, and Kitashizuku grown under contract in the Ono Plain, along with the subsoil water from Mount Yokotsu. The name 'Gohou' embodies the desire to brew sake using the treasures of the local region. With the free-spirited ideas unique to a new brewery and ingredients nurtured by the earth of Donan, this is a noteworthy bottle that will carry the future of Hokkaido sake.
