Hakodate Wine
With a single sip, the refreshing acidity of grapes nurtured by the cool northern land spreads across your palate. Its clean finish pairs perfectly with both Hakodate seafood and Western cuisine, making it a reliable addition to any dining table. Produced by Hakodate Wine, located in Nanae Town near Hakodate. Nanae is considered the birthplace of Western-style agriculture in the region, with grape cultivation and fruit wine production dating back to the Meiji era. Its roots trace back to 1932, when wild grapes from the vicinity of Mount Komagatake were brewed. In 1973, the brewing division became independent, and in 1984, the headquarters moved to Nanae Town, adopting its current company name. This is a wine that carries a history of over half a century as a pioneer of Donan (Southern Hokkaido) wine.
