Kamikawa Taisetsu Sake Brewery
In 2017, the first new sake brewery since the post-war era was born in Hokkaido: Kamikawa Taisetsu Sake Brewery in Kamikawa Town. By transferring the license of a brewery in Mie Prefecture that had suspended production to Kamikawa Town, they made a fresh start. Their clear flavor, brewed using underground water from the Daisetsuzan mountains and Hokkaido-grown sake rice such as 'Suisei,' has gained a reputation for showcasing new possibilities for sake. Currently, they carry out unique brewing operations across three locations: Midorigaoka Kura, Heikun Kura, and Gorino Kura. This is a new type of sake born in Hokkaido, created with the passion of young brewers. Please pour a glass and experience its pure, clean taste for yourself.
