Royce' Chocolate
A staple Hokkaido souvenir, Royce' Nama chocolate. Its base is located in Tobetsu Town, near Sapporo. Royce' was founded in Sapporo in 1983. Inspired by Swiss chocolate, they created Nama chocolate by adding Hokkaido cream and liqueur; its smooth texture that melts the moment it touches your mouth gained nationwide popularity. In 1999, the factory was moved to Tobetsu Town, and today, this nature-rich area serves as the center of production. At the direct sales store attached to the factory, you can find limited-edition products available only here, such as bread and soft-serve ice cream. It is a popular spot in Tobetsu that any chocolate lover should visit at least once.
