Sunagawa Sweet Road
For those who love sweets, this street is like paradise. Along National Route 12 in Sunagawa City, a series of confectionery shops are lined up, affectionately known as the 'Sunagawa Sweet Road.' There are approximately 20 scattered shops and cafes. Its roots lie in the era when Sorachi flourished with coal mining. Because workers would stop for a break and buy treats as souvenirs, many confectionery shops were born in Sunagawa. The word 'Sweet' carries not only the meaning of sugary flavors but also conveys feelings of comfort and joy.
