Daisetsu Local Beer
Toasting with local beer after visiting the zoo is becoming a new standard in Asahikawa. Daisetsu Local Beer is a craft brewery born in Asahikawa in 1996. Utilizing a building that is a repurposed red brick warehouse built during the Meiji era, they continue to brew beer using local ingredients. Their specialty lies in making abundant use of Hokkaido's blessings, such as subsoil water from the Daisetsuzan mountains and wheat harvested from neighboring towns. With an award-winning history in one of Japan's largest beer contests, you can enjoy six varieties of craft beer, ranging from crisp pilsners to more unique brews. A glass enjoyed alongside the atmosphere of this historic building is truly exceptional. It is a local pride craft beer that you'll want to drink to conclude your Asahikawa sightseeing tour.
