By continuously adding coal while monitoring the fire, a mellow texture and a unique toasted aroma are instilled into the whisky. Seeking a climate similar to Scotland, Masataka Taketsuru established this distillery in the land of Yoichi. This single malt, nurtured by the northern sea breezes and peat, allows you to fully enjoy its robust character, whether enjoyed on the rocks or straight.
