Niseko
When poured into a glass, a clear and soft flavor, brewed with pure snow water, spreads across the palate. Tasting this local sake in the world-class resort of Niseko makes for a truly special travel experience. Brewed by Niseko Shuzo in Kutchan Town, this is a long-established brewery founded in the Taisho era, located at the foot of Mount Yotei. For brewing, they use the snowmelt from the Niseko mountain range and the 'Yotei Mountain Fukiage Spring Water' from Kyogoku Town, which has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Waters by the Ministry of the Environment. This mineral-rich water has traveled through the earth over many years. A key feature is their commitment to producing undiluted sake (genshu) without water adjustment. This is a clear, local sake of Niseko, nurtured by the snow and water of Mount Yotei.
