Koieido Matcha Murasuzume
A creation by the long-established Okayama shop Koieido, which is an arrangement of the Kurashiki specialty 'Murasuzume' using matcha. It is a Japanese-style confection rich in atmosphere, featuring whole red bean paste wrapped in a thin, crepe-like skin infused with the aroma of matcha. 'Murasuzube' is a famous Kurashiki confection said to have derived its name from the holes on the surface of its thin skin resembling sparrows gathering around ears of rice. Koieido's Murasuzume is characterized by whole red bean paste from Hokkaido wrapped in a shape resembling a woven hat. The Matcha Murasuzume incorporates matcha into the skin, creating a flavor where the sweetness of the red bean paste and the bitterness of the matcha resonate exquisitely.
