Yamawaki Sangetsudo Kibi Dango
These kibi dango (millet dumplings) are crafted using traditional methods by Yamawaki Sangetsudo in Okayama City. Emphasizing the rustic flavor of millet and a chewy texture, they are a classic souvenir representative of Okayama, the home of Momotaro. Yamawalli Sangetsudo is an established shop founded in Meiji 14 (1881), with over 140 years of experience in making kibi dango. Their specialty lies in a soft mouthfeel and subtle sweetness achieved through long-refined manufacturing processes. Kibi dango have been cherished as a signature confection of Okayama, tied to the folklore of Momotaro sharing them with his followers. In recent years, they have also focused on creating new products, such as 'Nama' (fresh) kibi dango and chocolate flavors. A quintessential item from Okayama, the birthplace of the Momotaro legend.
