Kimoto Ebisu-do Bokko Manju
'Bokko Manju' is the signature product that Kimoto Ebisu-do, a Japanese confectionery shop in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, has continued to produce since its founding. It is a simple and warm manju (steamed bun) carefully finished using traditional methods. 'Bokko' is a dialect word from the Kurashiki region meaning 'very' or 'amazing.' With over 100 years of history, Kimoto Ebisu-do has protected this Bokko Manju as its flagship product alongside its famous 'Murazusume' confection. A major feature is that it is still handmade today without the use of preservatives. Its flavor is simple yet clearly demonstrates why it has been loved for so long. Please enjoy this traditional taste preserved by a Kurashiki institution, perfect as a companion while strolling through the Bikan Historical Quarter.
