Kutsuma Seika Yamanbou
A beloved confection from Kutsuma Seika that has been cherished in Ihara City since the post-war era. This simple yet flavorful treat features dough kneaded with uniquely cooked red bean paste and topped with a chestnut. Kutsuma Seika was founded in 1952 and released this "Yamanbou" in 1969. It is a masterpiece where the rich flavor of the dough, enriched with almonds, harmonizes perfectly with the chestnut. The name is also well-known for being calligraphed by Kei Fujiwara, a Living National Treasure and Bizen ware potter.
