Koeido Takeda Nama Chocolate Mochi

A fusion of Japanese and Western styles, this 'Nama Chocolate Mochi' is crafted by Koeido Takeda, a long-established shop founded in 1856 (Ansei 3). Smooth nama chocolate is gently enveloped within chewy gyuhi (sweet rice dough). This new sensation in Japanese sweets was created by leveraging the mochi-making skills cultivated over many years by this venerable shop, famous for its kibi-dango. The combination of soft mochi texture and melting, rich chocolate creates a unique deliciousness that is neither purely Japanese nor purely Western. This new flavor was made possible only by a traditional Japanese confectionery shop. Eating it chilled further enhances the richness of the chocolate. It is highly recommended as an accompaniment to tea or as a small gift.
