Rusks coated in deep green chocolate, accented with a shimmer of gold leaf. It exudes a sense of specialty from its very appearance. Gute de Roi Matcha is a Kansai-exclusive item created by the popular rusk specialty shop Gateau Festa Harada. It is a luxurious matcha-filled experience, featuring chocolate infused with plenty of matcha coating rusks that also have matcha mixed into the dough. Using Uji matcha ground with stone mills, the bitterness and astringency are suppressed to fully bring out the aroma and mellowness of the matcha. This item offers a pleasant contrast between the crunchy rusk and the smooth, melting chocolate. It is delightful both as an accompaniment to tea and as a gift.

Gateau Festa Harada Chocolat de Roi Matcha
A special chocolate sold only from November to April at Kansai-region stores by the prestigious rusk maker Gateau Festa Harada, founded in 1901 in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture. These bonbons feature 100% stone-ground matcha from Uji, Kyoto, kneaded into the couverture chocolate; each deep green piece is elegantly adorned with gold leaf.
