Milk Manju 'Tsukigesho'
Round like a full moon, this milk manju is a gentle representative of Osaka. Aoki Shofuan's "Tsukigesho" was born in 2010 following a request to create a souvenir sweet for tourists visiting Osaka. It features a milk filling made from a luxurious blend of homemade white bean paste (cooked with Hokkaido white kidney beans), condensed milk, domestic butter, and honey, all wrapped in a moist, butter-flavored dough. It was named "Tsukigesho" (Moon Makeup) due to its round, yellow appearance. With a mellow and rich flavor where Japanese and Western styles gently melt together, it is a new staple of Osaka souvenirs that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to adults.
