Nagasakado: Fragments of the Rainbow
Nagasakado is a long-established shop in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. "Fragments of the Rainbow" is an exclusive product available only at their directly managed stores, famous for their crystal bonbons. This beautiful confection is unique to a confectionery shop that has made its name with Castella since its founding in 1919 (Taisho 8). It is a colorful agar jelly candy featuring seven colors and flavors: orange, mint, violet, peach, lemon, ramune, and pomegranate. The poetic words on the box—"Kirara and shining rainbows are the colors of dreams"—make your heart flutter just by looking at it. Each piece offers a different flavor and a jewel-like transparency. It is a romantic sweet that can only be found in Osaka, delightful to look at and delicious to eat.
