Tsuruya Hachiman Sakura Hyakura
Tsuruya Hachiman is a long-established shop that opened its doors in Koramibashi, Osaka, in 1863 (Bunkyu 3). This 'Sakura Hyakura' is the spring-limited edition of their representative confection, 'Hyakura.' The history of the main house is said to trace back over 320 years, inheriting the production methods of the Genroku-era famous shop 'Toraya Iori.' Hyakura is a Monaka (wafer) where the bean paste and the baked shell are sealed separately, allowing you to combine them yourself just before eating. This is precisely why the crispy texture and fragrance of the shell remain vibrant. For Sakura Hyakura, we have added a cherry blossom flavor to create a treat that evokes the arrival of spring. With its fragrant shell, elegant bean paste, and a subtle scent of cherry blossoms, this is a seasonal Japanese confection from a long-established maker, perfect for enjoying with tea.
