GOKAN Ho-no-ichi
'Ho-no-ichi' is the signature baked confection from 'GOKAN,' a popular shop in Kitahama, Osaka, made using domestic rice flour. By not using wheat flour and instead utilizing the simple sweetness of rice, the dough has an incredibly light, crispy, and melt-in-your-mouth texture. Alongside their black bean 'Eemon,' this is a prideful item unique to a specialty rice snack shop. In addition to the plain flavor, matcha and chocolate varieties are also available, allowing you to choose according to your mood. This is a gentle sweet that will please those who are mindful of wheat consumption. It is also perfect as a souvenir from Japan, the land of rice, or as a gift for international visitors. Please take home the taste boasted by this famous Kitahama shop located in a retro building.
