Kunchō
Kunchō Shuzo has carved out a history of over 300 years in Tenryo Hita. The sake brewed in this historic brewery is 'Kunchō.' way the oldest building remaining in the brewery was actually built in 1702 (Genroku 15). The group of breweries standing on a vast site of approximately 2,000 tsubo is carefully preserved as precious architecture, which is rare even nationwide. Inheriting the brewery once operated by a powerful merchant family in Bugomori-machi, the sake brewed with Hita's pure spring water carries a flavor where long-standing traditional techniques are vibrantly alive. The brewery also offers a brewery museum and a brewery cafe. It is a local sake nurtured by the rich climate of Tenryo Hita, where long-inherited history and new challenges coexist.
