Kuma Shochu is a prestigious spirit protected by Geographical Indication, which can only be called such if it is made using only rice as the raw material, brewed with the groundwater of Kuma, and distilled and bottled in the distilleries of Hitoyoshi Kuma. It is a representative rice shochu of Japan with over 500 years of history. A mellow rice shochu reflecting the drinking culture of Hitoyoshi.
