Kōhoku Town Strawberries
Large, glossy, red-colored strawberries. When bitten, the juice bursts, and a refreshing sweetness spreads throughout the mouth. These are jewels of winter to spring, carefully grown in the warm greenhouses of Kōhoku Town. When it comes to Saga strawberries, there is 'Ichigosan,' which turns red deep into the flesh, and 'Sagahonoka,' which has an elegant sweetness. Both are varieties born in the prefecture, and greenhouse cultivation is thriving in Kōhoku Town. The abundant sunlight of the Saga Plain and meticulous cultivation produce sweet and beautiful fruit. They are sufficiently sweet to eat as they are, requiring no sugar or milk. These are our prideful strawberries that appear from winter to spring, adding a brilliant touch to the dining table.
