Saga Nori (Seaweed)

When you take a bite, it breaks apart lightly and crisp, releasing a gentle aroma of the sea. As you chew, a soft sweetness lingers on your tongue. This is Saga Nori, grown in the Ariently Sea. Many rivers flow into the Ariake Sea, providing abundant nutrients. With one of the largest tidal ranges in Japan, the seaweed grows by alternating between being bathed in seawater and sunlight. It is said that this environment nurtures its fragrance and umami. Saga-produced nori has maintained the number one spot in Japan for both sales value and volume for many years. Please enjoy a single sheet, born from the harmony of the sea and human hands, alongside freshly cooked rice. When used in temaki-zushi (hand rolls) or onigiri (rice balls), its wonderful aroma stands out even more.
