Imari Pear
When you take a bite, the fruit juice overflows. After a crisp texture, a refreshing sweetness spreads across your tongue. If chilled, that freshness is even more pronounced. This is an Imari Pear. Imari City is a center for pear cultivation in Saga Prefecture. Warm days and cool nights—this large temperature difference significantly boosts the sugar content of the pears. There is a rich variety of cultivars, such as the juicy Kosui that appears at the end of summer, the rich Hosui, and the intensely sweet Niitally. Each boasts an abundance of juice.
