Karatsu Burger
When you bite into the crispy, fragrant bun, the egg, ham, and beef patty—packed tightly with ingredients—overflow in your mouth. This is Karatsu Burger, a beloved staple of the scenic Nijino-Matsubara forest. It all began in the 1960s. It is said that the founder was moved by a hamburger they encountered in Sasebo and set out to recreate that very taste. Their specialty is the mobile vending style using a bonnet-style bus. The handmade flavor, grilled only after an order is placed, has been passed down for over half a century. The retro Showa-era appearance is also part of its charm. There is nothing better than feasting on a piping hot burger in the shade of the pine grove.
