Naruto Tai
With a single sip, a soft aroma and umami expand; just as it feels like it's coating your tongue with a velvety texture, it vanishes with a refreshing finish. It is a smooth yet dry sake. Honke Matsuura Sake Brewery, the producer of Naruto Tai, is Tokushima Prefecture's oldest brewery, located in Naruto City, famous for its whirlpools. Founded in the first year of the Bunka era, for over 200 years, they have used underground water from the Asa Mountains and locally grown Awa Yamada Nishiki rice, continuing to perform koji making entirely by hand. It is a brewery of both tradition and innovation, having developed the unique 'Kirizukuri' method, which involves chilling Junmai sake to just before freezing. A crisp cup nurtured by the town of whirlpools. This dry sake is perfect to be enjoyed slowly alongside Naruto Sea Bream sashimi and other bounties from the sea.
