Okayama Muscat
Elegant aroma and translucent fruit. Okayama's Muscat is a premium grape often referred to as the 'Queen of Fruits.' Muscat cultivation in Okayama began in 1886 with an ambitious challenge using glass greenhouses. Because the region's origin was a hot and dry area, cultivation was extremely difficult; however, by leveraging the Setouchi climate—which is warm, blessed with sunlight, and has low rainfall—and through continuous research and use of glasshouses, the crops took root. Today, Okayama accounts for the majority of the national production. In addition to the mellow Muscat of Alexandria, the spread of Shine Muscat, which can be eaten with the skin, supports the Okayama grape industry. When you take a bite, an elegant sweetness and a magnificent aroma gently unfold. This is a cluster that represents the fruit kingdom of Okayama.
