Koresato Grapes for Wine

In the Koresato district, located in the northern part of Akaiwa City, grapes are grown specifically for winemaking. The vineyards spread across hilly terrain at altitudes of 300–400 meters, utilizing a unique red soil rich in minerals and iron. Winemaking in this region began in 1985, led by local grape farmers. They focus on specific varieties such as Campbell and Riesling, using 100% grapes that producers have nurtured with great care and effort. The warm environment, blessed with abundant sunlight, produces fruit with a well-balanced sweetness and acidity. Koresato wines born from these grapes offer a fresh and fruity flavor. Each individual grape, carefully grown by local people, reaches you as a gentle, comforting glass of wine.
