Tamano Ontama-meshi
Place the creamy hot spring egg onto the rice, sizzling freshly cooked on the griddle, and break it open. Each bite, coated in rich yolk, combines the savory aroma of soy sauce and kabayaki glaze with a mellow sweetness, creating an irresistible flavor. Mixed into the fried rice is the bounty of the Seto Inland Sea: conger eel. The umami of the fragrant grilled eel permeates every single grain of rice. This dish was born in 2010 during Tamano City's B-grade gourmet contest. It won the grand prize through citizen voting and became an officially recognized local specialty of Tamano. A creamy, fragrant, and satisfying dish. A piping hot delicacy that the port town of Tamano in the Seto Inland Sea is proud to present.
