Miyata Wine
A glass born from grapes grown in the fields of Miyata Village, at the foot of the Central Alps. This is a wine produced by Honbo Shuzo's Mars Shinshu Distillery. This distillery is a site for whisky making, opened in 1985 within a forest at an altitude of approximately 800m at the foot of Mt. Komagatake. As the development of 'Wild Grape Village' progressed in Miyata Village, they began to focus their efforts on winemaking, featuring 'Yama-Sauvignon'—a cross between Japanese wild grapes and Cabernet Sauvignon—as the protagonist. The 'Shinshu Miyata Wine Shikishi,' bearing the name of the region, is a representative work of this effort. Please enjoy the unique flavor nurtured by the clear air of the Central Alps, born in a sacred land of whisky.
