Kawanakajima Genbu
In the land of Kawanakajima, Nagano City, there is a sake that possesses an elegant aroma and a full-bodied umami. This is 'Kawanakajima Genbu,' brewed by Shusen Kurano. Shusen Kurano is one of the oldest breweries in Shinshu, with a history said to date back to around 1540. Genbu, crafted by the hands of female Toji Mariko Chino, can truly be called her masterpiece. With a voluminous fruitiness reminiscent of melon, layered with soft sweetness and a pleasant acidity, it has earned numerous accolades at nationwide competitions. When poured into a glass, a gorgeous aroma rises softly. Its smooth and creamy mouthfeel makes it a versatile companion that pairs well with various dishes. Known for being difficult to obtain, it is a highly skilled representative of Shinshu.
