Wine of Tomi
A delicate and elegant glass born from grapes grown on a plateau at an altitude of 700m. This is wine from Tomi City, the center of the 'Chikuma River Wine Valley'. Tomi City possesses a climate ideal for cultivating wine grapes, characterized by long hours of sunlight and low rainfall. Starting with the establishment of 'Villa del Sol' by essayist and painter Toyoo Tamamura, who moved to this region in 2003, small wineries have been appearing one after another. From Chardonnay served at the G7 Summit to other varieties, wines are being produced with a clear acidity and rich fruitiness unique to the highlands. A taste of Shinshu, enjoyed on hills overlooking the Chikuma River. Please come and visit this new sacred site of Japanese wine.
