Yomeishu

When poured into a small sake cup, a faintly sweet and spicy aroma rises from the blend of over a dozen types of crude drugs. A single sip before bed gently warms a chilled body from the inside out. The origins of Yomeishu date all the way back to 1602 (Keicho 7). It is said to have begun when the Shiozawa family, who served as village headmen in Ina, Shinshu, started brewing medicinal liqueur. In the same year the Edo Shogunate was established, it was presented to Tokugawa Ieyasu and granted the prestigious name 'Tenka Gomen' (Permitted by the Shogun), marking a history of over 400 years. Today, it is carefully crafted at the Komagane factory at the foot of the Central Alps. A cup for health, gently embracing the power of medicinal herbs. A masterpiece born in Shinshu that has been cherished across generations.
