Fuchu Beer
Rows of beer taps line the grounds of the lush green Okunitama Shrine. Raising a glass, you can't help but shout "Kanpai!" The "Musashi Fuchu Beer Festival" began in 2016. The venue, Okunitama Shrine, houses Matsuo Shrine, which enshrines the god of brewing, making it a place deeply connected to beer. Breweries from the Musashi region—covering parts of Tokyo, Saitama, and Kanagawa—bring their unique craft beers, joined by guest beers, creating a lively atmosphere every year. Tasting various brews from local breweries within the shrine's forest is an early summer pleasure unique to Fuchu. Please come and find your favorite glass to enjoy.
