Naitai Kogen Beef

The Naitai Kogen Farm in Kamishihoro Town is known as the largest public pasture in Japan. At an altitude of approximately 800 meters, many cattle roam freely across a vast grassland covering about 1,700 hectares. 'Naitai' is a word in the Ainu language meaning 'deep valley.' From the Naitai Terrace, located at the summit of this ranch completed in 1972, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Tokachi Plain. Something you can only taste on that terrace is the hamburger made with Naitai Wagyu. Taking a bite while gazing out at the endless pastures and sky is truly exceptional. Under the wide-open sky, you can experience the full scale of Hokkaido.
