Bihoro Asparagus
Green asparagus grown in the town of Bihoro under the skies of Okhotsk. The cool climate and significant temperature fluctuations produce thick, sweet asparagus. Bihoro is actually the only town in Hokkaido that produces green asparagus in all four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The harvest from the winter season is popular under the brand name 'Fuyuhime' (Winter Princess), and we take pride in being able to offer fresh, succulent asparagus even during the heavy snow season. Simply blanching seasonal stalks and serving them with a pinch of salt allows the natural sweetness of the ingredient to come through directly.
