Shari Potato
These potatoes are grown in the town of Shari, at the foot of Mount Shari. Blessed with fertile land and pure underground water, they offer a fluffy texture and a simple, rustic sweetness. When it comes to Shari potatoes, they are also famous as the raw material for Japan's first 'potato shochu.' Developed independently by the town in 1979, this shochu helped bring the name of Shari to the attention of the entire nation. Of course, Shari potatoes are also delicious when simply steamed and eaten as they are. When made into croquettes or potato butter, the sweetness and fluffy texture are irresistible. Please try incorporating these nutrient-rich Shari potatoes, nurtured by the nature of Mount Shari, into various dishes at your dining table.
