Biratori Tomato
'Nisipa no Koibito' is the flagship brand of tomatoes from Biratori, Hokkaido's leading tomato-producing town. 'Nisipa' is an Ainu word meaning 'master' or 'wealthy person.' The name comes from a story about a Nisipa who maintained his health by eating fully ripened tomatoes every day and loved them as much as a lover. JA Biratori is a major production hub, accounting for approximately 40% of the large-scale tomato cultivation area in Hokkaido. The variety used is the highly sweet Momotaro tomato; at the sorting facility, the sugar content of each individual tomato is measured, and anything that does not meet the standard is not shipped, demonstrating their thorough commitment to quality. When you bite into a fully ripened tomato, the blessings of the sun overflow. Their juice-rich tomato juice is also popular. Please enjoy these tomatoes, so sweet they make you fall in love.
