Hokkaido's largest cherry-producing region is located in Shiribeshi. A single, bright red cherry, shining like a ruby, announces the arrival of the short northern summer. With a cool climate and long hours of summer sunshine, these blessed conditions produce cherries with an excellent balance of sweetness and acidity.
