Machimura Farm
The origins of dairy farming in Hokkaido can be found here. Machimura Farm is a historic farm founded in 1917 by Takataka Machimura in present-day Ishikari, later moving to Ebetsu. The founder spent ten years in the United States learning the latest dairy farming techniques and brought that knowledge back to the northern lands. The origin of their dairy production lies in the butter-making techniques acquired in America. In the early days, they produced handmade butter in a brick-built dairy room, which gained great popularity for its artisanal quality. Even today, they continue to deliver fresh milk, butter, cheese, soft serve ice cream, and more. The reliable quality woven through over 100 years of history provides a comforting taste that is loved across generations.
