Soya Salt
A mellow salt born from the northernmost sea in Japan. Soya Salt is a natural salt produced from the seawater of Wakkanai and the Soya Strait. It is made using a unique process where clear seawater is pumped up, concentrated by utilizing the waste heat from the seawater, and then crystallized. While containing abundant minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and calcium, it is characterized by a mellow flavor with less of the bitterness often found in natural salts. Adding a pinch at the end of cooking makes it an excellent supporting actor that gently enhances the umami of your ingredients. Its excellence stands out particularly in simple dishes such as tempura, grilled foods, boiled eggs, and rice balls. It is a product that will make you want to bring the blessings of Japan's northernmost sea to your daily dining table.
