Mushagaeshi
Koume's representative confection since its release in 1977. It consists of a butter pie made by hand-folding 100 layers, wrapping an adzuki bean paste made from peeled and kneaded beans. The name is derived from the 'Mushagaeshi,' the beautiful fan-shaped slope of the stone walls at Kumamoto Castle.
