Sonodaya Chousen Ame
A famous confection with over 400 years of history, created by Sonoda Takeemon during the Azuchi-Momoyama period and used as rations for Kato Kiyomasa's expedition to Korea. The production method—kneading glutinous rice, starch syrup, and sugar then coating it in potato starch—was prohibited from leaving the domain during the Edo period.
