Fukumukae Mochi

熊本県·和菓子

Fukumukae Mochi

A rice cake confection created by Fukudaya and Kumamoto Castle Inari Shrine, born from a wish for recovery from the Kumamoto earthquake. Each piece embodies the prayers of people hoping for the reconstruction of the castle. Soft, fluffy mochi is gently wrapped in smooth red bean paste made from Hokkaido adzuki beans. With an elegant yet rustic sweetness, it is the perfect accompaniment to tea. With every box of Fukumukel Mochi purchased, 50 yen is donated to Kumamoto City as a reconstruction support fund for Kumamoto Castle. This initiative will continue until the castle fully regains its original form. It is a heartwarming treat that allows you to subtly support Kumamoto's recovery while enjoying something delicious.
