Monasuku Chukū Dogū Mea (Matcha Gagome Kombu)

A unique item from Hakodate's 'Monasuku' series that combines matcha and gagome kombu (kelp). It is a new sensation of a confection, blending the textures of monaka and rusk. Monasuku is a confection born from the reconstruction of the Hakodate Magistrate's Office in 2010. Sablé dough is placed inside a monaka shell and baked slowly, allowing you to enjoy the fragrant monaka shell and the crispy dough at the same time. This flavor is part of a series themed after the National Treasure 'Chukū Dogū (Kayasora)' excavated in Hakodate. It is a unique confection where history meets food, as the bitterness of matcha melts with the flavor of Hakodate's specialty, gagome kombu.
